POEM philanthropy

Awhile back my boyfriend made a bad mistake
So now he has community service, he picks up trash and rakes

I think practicing philanthropy is a moral obligation
so like him I went out and picked up trash to help clean up the nation

The trash on the road was yelling out his name
It would rather be recycled than on the road looking lame

Some people were mean to him because of what he did
But i just kept on loving him because I'm a nice kid

Philanthropy is important, thats just my opinion
Either you'll practice it or you wont, thats all your decision

White River

While I'm at the White River, I see the clear water falling down the damn and my friends all around. I taste the cold fizzy sprite that I'm drinking, and I also taste the crunchy doritos that I'm eating. I can smell the scent of tanning oil that we all have on and I smell the river water thats flowing infront of me. All I can hear is my friends laughing and talking, and my favorite rap music playing. I can feel the sun soaking into my skin, and the cold river water splashing up on me.

Advertisement Analysis

               Who wants their cute dog to have terrible breath? Nobody! That’s why this ad about Dentastix for dogs was made. Tone and purpose are used in the advertisement to convince readers to buy Dentastix for all of their bad breath dogs.
                In the advertisement it shows a dog with its mouth wide open breathing on a bird. Laying on its back, the bird is dead from the dogs bad breath. What the picture is trying to show is that the dogs breath is so bad that it killed the bird, but that Dentastix will fix the problem!  In the ad it also shows a picture of a bag of Dentastix. That is just showing what the whole ad is about and it ties the whole picture together.
                One of the tones of this advertisement is humorous. Its humorous because a bird isn’t going to actually die for bad dog breath.  That was just a way of proving the breath smelled bad! Another tone for this ad is silly. Its silly because the dogs mouth is wide open and the bird is on his back dead. This wouldn’t really happen, so it makes it funny.
                Dentastix would be a good treat to get your dog to help out with their breath. Now you can see how the tone and purpose helps to get the point across for Dentastix.

I feel the pain of others
I touch the clouds
I worry about growing up the rest with out a mom
I cry when I need mommy here

I understand Lil Wayne punch lines
I say miracles DO happen
I dream about being famous
I try to always be happy
I hope to have a sucessfull life
